Paper Lantern Shipping Across Canada

Shipping options and rates are calculated at checkout after you enter your delivery address. Whether you’re ordering a handful of lanterns for a birthday or a bulk order for a wedding, you’ll see available Canada Post options and can choose the rate and delivery speed that works best for you.

We ship from Toronto (M3J 3L9), near York University Station. We’re online-only with no walk-in storefront — but free local pickup is available by appointment near York University Station.

Ships Within 1 Business Day

In-stock paper lantern orders typically ship within 1 business day after payment is confirmed, excluding weekends and statutory holidays. During peak periods, holidays, or service disruptions, processing times may be longer.

Canada Post Shipping

Canada Post is our standard carrier for all paper lantern orders. At checkout, you’ll be able to choose from the following service levels:

• Regular Parcel — typically the most economical option
• Expedited Parcel — usually the best value. Our merchant rates make Expedited Parcel faster than Regular at a price that’s hard to beat
• Xpresspost — faster delivery at a higher rate
• Priority — typically the fastest option and usually the most expensive; availability depends on destination

Delivery times shown at checkout are carrier estimates in business days and are not guaranteed. Actual delivery timelines can be affected by:

• Weather and severe storms
• Holidays and peak shipping periods
• Service disruptions, including strikes
• Remote/rural delivery routes
• Carrier operational delays beyond our control

36″ Jumbo Paper Lanterns — Oversize Surcharge

Canada Post classifies our 36″ jumbo paper lanterns (91 cm diameter) as oversized and automatically applies an oversize surcharge to these shipments. This surcharge is included in the Canada Post rates shown at checkout. We do not add it manually, and we cannot remove it.

All other sizes (8″ through 30″) ship at standard parcel rates with no oversized surcharge.

Same-Day Paper Lantern Pickup in Toronto (Local Pickup)

Free local pickup is available by appointment, and same-day pickup is often possible depending on availability. Select Local Pickup at checkout, then call or text 1-647-955-8129 or email sales@torontopaperlanterns.com to arrange a time.

Using Your Own Courier Account

If you prefer to ship using your own courier account (FedEx, UPS, or Purolator), select My Courier Account at checkout. The amount shown is a handling and coordination fee, which can vary depending on what’s in your cart and packaging requirements.

In the Order Notes at checkout, include:

• Courier name (FedEx, UPS, or Purolator)
• Your account number
• Any delivery instructions

If courier details are missing or unclear, we may contact you to confirm before shipping to avoid delays.
